The Minden Housing Community provides public housing for eligible low-income families, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. Minden Housing Community administers 247 Public Housing units and 137 Housing Choice Vouchers serving the City of Minden.

The City of Minden is located in Webster Parish, approximately 30 miles east of Shreveport. Minden is a gateway to outdoor recreation at destinations like Dorcheat Bayou and Lake Bistineau. Minden's Historic Main Street Districts attract history and architecture buffs as well as shoppers and diners. Minden has maintained much of its historic integrity, including its early 1900's brick Main Street, beautiful parks and sidewalk benches.
